DownTown Lake Charles Crawfish Festival is an art, music and food festival hosted by the Movers and Shakers of the South, the philanthropic arm of the Parkinson Association of the South, and celebrates the uniqueness of southwest Louisiana and the crawfish industry. Not only does this festival encompass music and food, it also hosts various levels of artistic venues through music, art drawings, paintings, custom jewelry, beauty and talent pageant, the annual Art Walk participation, a parade, and so much more, all from local vendors, entrepreneurs, and business owners. The DTLC Crawfish Festival is an art venue, a tourist attraction, and a major economic development engine, all wrapped into one event. It provides funding for the Parkinson Association of the South, the regional organization dedicated to supporting Parkinson patients with resources, education, and non clinical support programs.
